FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
ABOUT THE NUWAVE OVEN

Please check to see if
your question is answered below. If you have any additional questions,
please contact us at: customerservice@hearthware.com

1. What is Triple Combo Cooking (TCC) power?
|
|
|
The TCC combines the three cooking methods.
- Conduction is the heat that is applied directly to the food.
- Convection is the circulated hot air, produced by our quiet motor and a specially
designed fan. They allow the heat to distribute evenly for faster cooking and even
browning.
-
Far Infrared is simply a form of gentle, invisible radiant heat. It penetrates the
inside of foods while also cooking from the outside, leaving foods moist and full
of flavor yet browned to perfection. Hearthware's specially patented heating rods
enhance the NuWave Oven's unique infrared capabilities. The concept is similar to
the warmth of the sun's rays felt on your skin. As a matter of fact, about 80% of
the sun's rays consist of these infrared rays. The same principle applies to our
NuWave Oven, only on a smaller scale. Restaurants have been using this heat for
years to keep foods warm.

|
2. What features sets the NuWave Oven apart from others?
|
|
|
- Hearthware, the manufacturer of the NuWave Oven, has been manufacturing countertop
infrared ovens since 1997. In fact, we are the manufacturer of the original Infrared
Cooking System. The NuWave Oven is our newest next generation oven.
- Only the NuWave Oven features the patented locking mechanism, which securely holds
the dome, and the power head in place even when the oven gets hot, preventing them
from separating and releasing hot steam and which may cause burns. This is a very
important safety feature only available in the NuWave Oven.
- NuWave Oven uses a long lasting 1500 Watt SHEATH HEATER (which can last up to 30
years) similar to most conventional ovens. NuWave Oven does not use HALOGEN bulb
as a heat source. HALOGEN bulbs will most likely create smoke when grease splatters,
and its life span is shorter.
- The NuWave Oven has a lightweight liner pan for easy portability.
- NuWave Oven is the ONLY countertop infrared oven to win the ChefsBest Award. NuWave
has been honored as the Best Performing by independent professional chefs for eight
years in a row.
- NuWave Oven also received the seal of approval from the Cooking Club of America
with over 550,000 members. They are the publisher of the well-known and respected
"Cooking Pleasures" magazine.
-
NuWave Oven also received the National Health & Wellness Club seal of approval with
over 225,000 members, the publishers of the Health & Wellness Magazine.

3. Do I need the extender ring to cook a turkey?
|
|
|
- Without the extender ring, you can cook up to a 10 lb turkey.
-
However with the extender ring, you can increase the capacity of the oven by 50%
and cook up to a 16 lb. turkey.
|
|
|
4. How do I remove frozen turkey giblets?
|
|
|
-
One of the great things about the NuWave Oven is how delicious and perfectly brown
turkeys turn out. A lot of people have asked; how do you get the giblets out of
a frozen turkey? Start cooking the turkey breast side down for the first half of
the cooking process. When you flip the turkey breast side up, the insides should
be thawed enough to remove the giblets.
|
|
|
5. How long has the NuWave Oven been on the market?

7. I live in a warm climate. Will the NuWave Oven heat up my kitchen?
|
|
|
- Because the NuWave Oven utilizes the Triple Combo Cooking power, you never have
to preheat or defrost again. It also does not heat up the air around it, so it doesn't
heat up your kitchen, which makes it perfect for confined quarters; during summers;
and in hot weather regions
- You can take your frozen foods straight out of the freezer and right into the oven.
-
Since the NuWave Oven uses as little as 15% of the energy of most conventional ovens,
the NuWave Oven not only saves you time and energy, but it doesn't heat up the kitchen.
|
|
|
8. Is the NuWave Oven big enough to cook multiple foods at the same time?
|
|
|

the same time.
