Everything I have cooked in this oven has turned out absolutely perfect! The pork roasts were cooked to perfection: moist and juicy inside and crispy skin on the outside. The chicken legs and drumsticks, the same. Last week I ventured to cook a standing rib roast, and it was better than any I have ever had in a restaurant. I have also cooked a leg of lamb, cod fillets, and salmon ... ALL perfect! Oh, the vegetables! ...baked potatoes, grilled tomatoes, zucchini, fresh green beans and quartered onions, etc. And the flavors are unbelievable! There is no other counter-top appliance that I own, that comes close to this oven. It is fun to use, because I can watch my dinner cooking; and it is easy to clean. The extender ring is a MUST! It is the best investment I have ever made! My 80 yr old father was talking about his Nuwave Oven a few months ago. It is not like my dad to just spend money on frivolous things so I knew if he spent money on one, it had to be good. Well dad, I am going to say it..."You Are Right!" I have always had a hard time cooking whole chicken and chicken breast without losing moisture and it was difficult to taste the flavor throughout the chicken without extensive marinating. But, when you cook a whole chicken or chicken breast in the Nuwave oven, it is perfectly browned, extremely moist, and I could taste the flavor of my seasoning throughout the different parts of the chicken. I will never use my oven again I absolutely love my NuWave. I cooked some chicken breast for my sick dog. Normally, I do not care for breast meet as it comes out so dry. When I saw the Nuwave oven advertised on TV I had my doubts, in our kitchen we have just about every easy to use, clean, fast cooking, economical products available, however, none of them have lived up to their claims like the Nuwave Oven. We use it 3 to 5 times a week, the food tastes wonderful. My husband teases me as I taste the food with an " oh! this is so good", he too is doing it now. We watched the infomercial on TV and just couldn't believe all the claims made... At the time we were offered a second unit at half price and we jumped at that just in case the unit was as good as advertised. Let us be the first to tell you that all claims in the infomercial are not only true but just can't do justice to the taste of the cooked meats. We have never had a chicken breast baked or off the BBQ that could compare to the chicken breast from the NuWave oven. It is fork tender and the juices just run out of the well cooked product. This has to be one of my very best purchases. I thought you might be pleased to know that I sent the following email to many of my friends and relatives. On my recent vacation in the USA, I was in my motel room and was flipping through the TV channels and I came upon the Shopping Network. For the first time in my life, I succumbed to one of those TV Infomercial Ads and ordered a NuWave Table Top Infrared Cooker. How stupid is that I didn't expect the cooker to arrive any time soon because it is such a hassle getting stuff across the border these days but the cooker arrived very promptly last week and I tried it out for the first time this evening. I am mind swaggled. Here is the cooker on my kitchen counter cooking three, 1 inch thick pork chops coated in Shake and Bake. Not a great picture, but you get the idea. The instructions said that I should cook the chops for 13 minutes for each side, 26 minutes in total. In a regular oven, it takes 45 minutes. I was dubious, but followed the NuWave instructions exactly. After 26 minutes I took off the oven cover and popped a chop onto a plate with some green beans, rice and home made cranberry sauce. The chop turned out to be the most crispy and at the same time juicy, tender pork chop that I have ever cooked and in a fraction of the time using a normal oven. What is really amazing is that just like the TV Infomercial claims, practically no juices dripped out of the meat so the pork chop was very moist. The clean up was a breeze because I put some foil in the bottom of the cooker. This has to be one of my very best purchases. I brag and tell everyone about this oven I purchased a Nu Wave Oven approximately 6 months ago. I am having trouble with a few things. I am missing the cookbook that came with the Nu Wave, also I have lost my cooking chart that came with it. Also, let me say that I had purchased the magic bullet before I received the Twister with my nu wave oven, and let me tell you I paid alot of money for that Magic Bullet and the "free" one works 10 times better. It's worth much more to me than what I gave for it, it does everything you said it would do and more. Another satisfied customer! Another satisfied customer! I recently received my Nuwave oven and have used it every single day! I am in love with it! I work an odd shift and don't have a lot of time to cook a decent meal for me and my husband before I'm out the door and on my way for a 12 hour shift. Since I sleep during the day and don't get up until late after noon it doesn't leave me much time to prepare a healthy meal. That is No longer a problem. Everything that I have tried in the oven comes out perfectly cooked. I even did the left over fast food french fry test. You know how you can never reheat french fries and have them come out eatable Well ... Not a problem with the Nuwave! They come better then fresh! I reheated mine for about 3 minutes on the 4" rack in a pie pan and they were hot and crunchy on the outside and moist on the inside! My family and I are completely sold on this product I've had my NUWAVE oven for about 5 months. I love how moist and flavorful the beef roast, chicken and turkey come out! I love not worrying about them drying out. I have heart failure and can no longer season with any salt at all, so am trying new salt-free seasonings. Without salt, it's really important that the meat stay moist and flavorful. The meat is so good that I have neglected my regular wall ovens. I think those fancy ovens are jealous because they aren't getting my attention any more! My family make sandwiches every day to take to school and work. We used to buy lunchmeat but no more! Now I usually cook a whole 3-4 lb double turkey breast and a whole 3-4 lb beef roast every week and STILL don't spend as much as I used to spend on the old weekly 2-3 lbs of lunchmeat, and there's no waste. My son (21 years old and home from college for the summer) has taken to cooking his frozen pizza rolls and other snacks in the NUWAVE. My 24 year old daughter told me she wants one for Christmas. My husband LOVES the lunchmeat and he discovered that these TGIFriday's frozen green beans that come breaded/seasoned are fantistic, crisp and delicious when NUWAVED. It's over 90 degrees outside and humid, so we have the air conditioning on. Nothing bugs me more than somebody who wants to heat up the regular oven to over 400 degrees to cook a pizza or to warm up frozen fries (or frozen TGIF beans). The whole kitchen gets hot. The same job performed by the NUWAVE right on our kitchen counter has a negligible effect on the cool air conditioned room. My family and I are completely sold on this product. Here's a tip. After roasting, I leave the rack on lowest position and put about a cup of water in the bottom pan. I let the NUWAVE cook for an extra 20 mins and then pour the liquid into a jar and seal it. Sometimes I make gravy, but a sometimes, when the meat is almost gone from my foodsaver, I cut it up the remaining portion and put it into the broth, and freeze the meat aujus. It makes a great meal later with some seasoned toast and vegetables or a baked potatoe (microwave) for my fatherinlaw who lives alone and loves the food I make for him. Well, I've gone on long enough. I'll leave you with my other favorite tip... Get a Foodsaver. Keeps things MUCH longer and fresher, is worth every cent, and I'd say it's indispensible if you like to cook a few times a week and then freeze meals for another day. Oven is one of the best purchases I've made in years I owned a Jet Stream Oven at one time and thought it was the best. I was upset with them because they didn't stand behind their product. So I recently bought a Nuwave oven and it is one of the best purchases I've made in years. Yes, the Jet Stream was great but what I hated about it was the clean up. It would blow all the juices around the oven and it sometimes dripped onto the counter. I love the faster cooking of the Nuwave. I love southern cooking and cornbread is something I love. I made cornbread in less than 6 minutes. That is amazing. The only thing I would change about the over it I would produce a model with a larger cook surface to accommodate a 14 inch pizza. The meat is tender, juicy and exactly the way we like it. The veggies are really tasty because the oven doesn't cook it all away. He said it's the best thing I've ever spent money on and he is really happy to clean it for me. The only thing we would change is either have a removable cord or a retractable cord so we don't have to fuss with the cord during clean-up. I am a Consumer Safety Inspector for the USDA... You guys really need to approach Quixtar with this product (if you can handle that kind of volume). I finally got a system down for baking fresh French bread First let me say that my husband and I really love our little Nu-Wave oven. We bought it because the oven in our conventional range is not working at the moment, but even if/when we get it fixed, we will still rely primarily on the Nu-Wave! It took a little experimenting, but I finally got a system down for baking fresh French bread whenever we want it. I make up a batch of dough, divide it in half, put one half (patted with buttered fingers) in a storage bag in the refrigerator (for baking later in the week) and shape/raise/bake the other half. After the top has browned I have to flip the loaf over to brown the bottom and to make sure it cooks through, but this doesn't at all affect the quality of the final product. And it has saved us a lot of money as an alternative to buying so-called "artisan breads" at $3-$4 apiece at the market! My only problem has been finding a French bread pan that will fit inside the Nu-Wave. For the time being, I fabricated a pan out of one of those heavy foil disposable pizza pans (I shaped it around a wine bottle to get the desired cradle effect.) We hardly ever use our oven anymore. Since we purchased the nu-wave we cook almost all of our frozen food in it and we like the way it comes out. Much better than the microwave and much faster than waiting for the oven to warm up. We hardly ever use our oven anymore. Our favorite things to cook are Frozen fast-food french fries you buy in the frozen section they taste like the ones from fast-food places without all of the oil/grease. They cook in 10 minutes. These are the best and easiest ribs we've made We just received our Nu Wave Oven today and decided to make spare ribs in it to test how good ribs might be using an infrared oven. We coated the ribs with olive oil, salt, pepper, a secret rub, garlic, and rosemary and put 4 spare rib pieces on the 1' setting into the NuWave oven. 15 minutes a side later - these are the best and easiest ribs we've made in quite some time. The oven is both quiet, and the kids enjoyed being able to see the ribs cook. Excellent product. Thank you very much NuWave has improved our lives My wife and I have had a Nuwave oven for almost three years. I have cooked whole chickens, turkeys and hams and they come out wonderfully juicy and in the case of the poultry, the skin is crispy, just the way we like it. By using the NuWave instead of our big electric oven I know we have realized a saving on power and air conditioning costs. We were skeptical at first but not any more My wife and I purchased our Nuwave oven in October 2007. I did not realize how efficient it would be until we tried cooking different meats in it. We were amazed how fast and how moist the meat was when cooked in the Nuwave oven. Meats like chicken and pork chops normally are dry if cooked on the grill or in the oven. It really works!! If you are a skeptic like I am, and think the Nu-Wave oven is a sham then you are missing out on the best thing since microwave ovens. It really works!! I have been surprised at how well built and durable the oven is. I just want to say that I have had my Nuwave oven for about 9 months now, and I use it almost every day. I expected the motor or one of the elements to fail after a month or two but have been surprised at how well built and durable it's been. I've hand washed as well as cleaned it in the dish washer as well. I've cooked all kinds of roasts in it as well as baked a pie and brownies as well. I've done steaks, chops, burgers, salmon, shrimp, enchiladas. I only wish there was a pizza stone that fit inside. I have done frozen pizza in it as well as all kinds of snacks, and other frozen prepared foods. It will easily cook prepared foods calling for 400 degree oven temps or more at 350 degrees and faster. Preparing nutritious meals has been problematic for me for quite some time Like nearly everyone, I love my Nu-Wave. I am disabled and live alone. Preparing nutritious meals has been problematic for me for quite some time now. Being unable to eat correctly meant that my physical illnesses and depression were only exacerbated. Now that I have my Nu-Wave, I've begun to not only eat better, but to actually enjoy creating and preparing delicious meals again. I knew I was sold the very first time I prepared an item: I threw an unseasoned, frozen, skinless chicken breast on the four inch grill, set the timer and let it do its thing. Let me tell you, that was one of the best pieces of chicken I've ever eaten! I could not believe how delicious it tasted with absolutely NO seasonings whatsoever, not even salt. The inside was well done, but juicy and tender, while the outside was nicely grilled. Now, I do those breasts often, then slice them and spread them over a nice bed of salad greens for a quick, easy, wholesome lunch. I can't begin to tell you what that means to me. I am so glad that I saw that infomercial about the oven We have had our oven about 2 months now. It is a wonderful kitchen gadget the best we have ever purchased. My husband and I just love it. We have cooked many things in this oven. I have never had any luck with the refrigerated biscuits they always burned in my regular oven now with the nu-wave they come out beautiful golden brown tops that are nice and soft and not burned. I have also taken red peppers and cut the tops off roasted them about 15 or 20 mins. I put them in a bowl with plastic over them and the skins peeled off like you would not believe. My family would not eat chicken off a bone because it sat in the fat while it was cooking. Well I have cooked several whole chickens in the nu-wave they have raved about and can hardly wait for me to cook more. I want to say that I am very happy with your product and I am so glad that I saw that infomercial about it. My youngest daughter 15 years old learn how to make steak in the nu-wave oven herself. Proud owner of the Nuwave Oven I am a very cautious shopper. I watch alot of the infomercial on TV. But the infomercial for the NuWave oven came on one day, and I found myself watching it. I thought it sounded really good...but just to be sure I told myself I would wait till it came on again sometime. Days later, I caught the infomercial again and watched and listened very closely to see if i could catch anything that might lead me to believe it was a gimmick. There wasn't anything. So i went a step further and searched on the internet and ran across nbc4 "Does it really do that " (which I found out later is on this site. I had to order one. I received it about a month ago, and I have to say that I just love it. I really does what they say. I made tator tots last night, and they were crispy on the outside and tender in the middle. I have baked them in the oven for years but they just seemed to taste better. The meat comes out alot better than when I have baked it in the oven. I am glad that I purchased the NuWave. For anyone out there that is thinking about purchasing it and not sure it will do what they say..... I can tell you that it does. I have not had steaks like that in years I just bought one of your nuwave ovens. we really like it alot. With me being diabetic, I enjoy it. But one thing I am having trouble with is trying to figure out on how to cook every thing. There are stuff that are not in the book., and somethings are hard to understand. I expected to be disappointed with the Nu-Wave... I have fallen for a couple of "TV only offers" and have been disappointed. I expected to be disappointed with the Nu-Wave, also. I was even embarassed to bring it out because of the teasing my roommate would give me. We gave it the test on a frozen turkey, which seemed the ultimate test. It could take 24 hours to thaw a turkey and we were eating the juiciest turkey in just two hours. Amazing. My roommate and I used it daily afterwards. THE NU-WAVE SAVED OUR MARRIAGE.. We recently purchased an older home and decided to remodel the kitchen. We had heard that can be a marriage killer. It is about time they made a product that really did what they claimed it could do The first day I got the nuwave I wanted to see if it stood up to the tv commercial on cooking a 1 inch frozen steak. I LOVE MY NU WAVE...and this is the 1st Frozen turkey I've made I have a 12 lb frozen turkey in my NuWave right now. I did the 90 min breast down...now I turned the entire bird over and it's cooking for 90min...then after this 90 min I will flip the bird backover to the orig breast side down and cook it for another 1hr and 15 min. I hope I'm doing this the right way as I want to surprise my husband when he comes home later today. I did take the giblets out when the orig 90 min was up. I also did the cooking orig etc on each side of the turkey. Hope it comes out good. It looks great already!! I LOVE MY NU WAVE...and this is the 1st Frozen turkey I've made. We really love the NuWave. Dear NuWave Oven People, especially Cookbook Recipe inventors: We received our NuWaveOven two weeks ago, and have had wonderful success with frozen steaks, pork chops (1-1/2" thick), and kielbasa (spelling ). We have every intention of trying many other things, for sure! Over the years we have looked and looked for a steak/chop/meat cooker which browns without frying or spattering, and is easy to clean. I have tried two different incarnations of the Foreman Grill, but they do spatter and they are the dickens to clean. We tried Hibachi and grill types for outdoors, but we live in New England, where winters are long and grilling is for good weather only. outside (with bugs and neighborhood dogs joining us). I wanted inside cooking, yet oven broilers spatter and fat catches on fire..... and frying pans!... sigh. So the NuWave is super!!!! No spatter escapes. Easy to clean. Fun and easy to use. We buy Omaha Steaks products (fish, beef, pork, etc), and also the double stuffed potatoes, stuffed filet of sole, and other non-meat frozen items they include. Also other frozen items from the grocery store. Have you ever considered a cookbook for us NuWavers which includes how to cook a variety of frozen items in the NuWave You do have 'from scratch' recipes. I have experimented with a couple of frozen non-meat items from Omaha Steaks, I'm not clever, and I ended up throwing the half-cooked stuff in the microwave to finish them. Could you put on your 'to-do' list, a cookbook addition of such freezer items, not defrosted, which the NuWave could do It'd be great! We really use a lot of frozen food, and defrosting is such a nuisance and time consuming and messy. I am very unhappy with the Flavor Wave Deluxe! I ordered the flavor wave deluxe with the halogen bulb for the radiant heat, and it does not do as well as the NuWave. My mother has the NuWave and the comparison of the two is without doubt: the NuWave Oven does so much better. I find with my Halogen Flavor Wave Oven it burns the food, causing hot pockets in the cooking area. I am very unhappy with the Flavor Wave Deluxe! Too bad I could not remove the halogen bulb and replace it with your heating element. We are full time RVers. We are full time RVers. We live and travel year round in a Fifth Wheel RV. A year ago we purchased the Nu-Wave Oven and it is one of the best purchases we have ever made. I love being able to see the food as it cooks. I keep it on my counter top at all times. Rarely does a day go by that I don't use it. One of the great things about it, especially living in an RV, is that we were able to replace other appliances -- our toaster, George Foreman grill and outdoor grill. "I can't stop using it" "I can't stop using it" I think it's a great oven. I have used it many times so far, but i think it's a little confusing when you get it in the mail. takes some time to get used to, but I still think it's amazing that I made frozen chicken breasts in half the time it takes me to make thawed ones in my regular gas oven. They should eventually come out with a nuwave oven that can cook the top and the bottom without turning the food. That' i would say, is the only downfall. Thanks again for this machine.!! WHY did we wait so long ! I saw the infomercial on this oven years ago -mildly interested. My husband saw it shortly before Christmas, and we bought one. WHY did we wait so long ! This little oven is a big asset to my kitchen and cooks wonderfully. It performs quietly, does what it says it can, and clean-up is a breeze. I have a "set-it-and-forget it" rotisserie, but setup and cleanup is labor intensive, and it's noisy. Not with the NuWave! You have a bird's eye view of how food is cooking, and it's easy to make time adjustments, if needed. I told my sister and she bought one, and friends with a fifth-wheel are getting one also. I especially like the fat dripping into the pan instead of bathing our food! My great big regular oven and my frying have been placed on hiatus!
